Allianz Trade has announced a senior leadership appointment in its Türkiye organization. Ömer Gürcan Köseoğlu, who previously served as Commercial Director, will continue his responsibilities with an expanded scope as CEO of Allianz Trade Türkiye, effective 1 February 2026. He takes over the role from Ahmet Ali Bugay, who has recently been appointed within Allianz Trade’s global organization as MMEA Regional Strategic Steering and Coordination Director.

Commenting on his appointment, Köseoğlu said:
“It is an honor to be entrusted with the CEO role, in addition to my responsibilities as Commercial Director at Allianz Trade Türkiye since December 2015. Taking over this position from Ahmet Ali Bugay, who has successfully served as CEO, is a special source of pride for me. During my 10 years at Allianz Trade, I have worked to contribute to the development of our sector. Going forward, with the strength we draw from our business partners, customers, and employees, we will continue to increase awareness of trade credit insurance, move our company further forward, and stand by our customers.”

About Ömer Gürcan Köseoğlu
A graduate of Middle East Technical University, Department of Business Administration, Köseoğlu completed his MBA at Marmara University. He further strengthened his leadership capabilities through programs such as INSEAD Executive Education’s “Growing Leaders” program and Boğaziçi University’s Digital Communication Program.
Köseoğlu began his career in 1993 following a management trainee program, entering corporate banking through branch roles. After gaining experience across several banks, he became Corporate Banking Marketing Manager at Demirbank in 1998, and later served as Corporate Branch Manager at Körfez Bank in 2000.
From 2001 onward, he held senior corporate banking roles for 15 years at Koçbank, and later at Yapı Kredi Bank following the merger. During this period, he also took on consultancy responsibilities for UniCredit Group banks in Bulgaria and Croatia, supporting the implementation of electronic banking and cash management products and services at Bulbank and ZabaBank.
Before joining Allianz Trade, Köseoğlu most recently served as Deputy General Manager at Yapı Kredi Moscow Bank in Russia.
