EU Boosts Circular Economy in Plastics: First Pilot Measures Announced

The European Commission has unveiled its first pilot action package aimed at accelerating circularity in the plastics sector. The new measures focus on EU-wide standards for recycled plastics and clearer rules for chemical recycling. More comprehensive legislation is expected to follow with the Circular Economy Act planned for 2026.
