Auditing the Turkish artificial intelligence ecosystem since 2017, TRAI published its verified October 2026 directory. To preserve structural accuracy across the startup registry, the mapping removed 21 entities that ceased operations or web presence while integrating 43 newly validated enterprises, securing a net increase of 22 startups.

Of the 41 additions with documented inception dates, 25 were launched during 2025 or 2026. While Istanbul remains the dominant hub, regional ventures emerged across Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya, Samsun, Bolu, and Gebze, supplemented by Turkish-founded cross-border startups headquartered in New York, Dubai, and Amsterdam.

### Sectoral Distribution Across 14 Specialized Categories

The 43 new startups span 14 technological verticals, highlighting clear operational depth:

- **Agentic AI Dominance:** Autonomous agent-based architectures accounted for 10 additions (up from 5 in April), automating workflows across digital workplace tasks, educational content, cybersecurity operations, and product roadmaps.
- **Vertical Specialization in Law & HR:** LegalTech expanded by 5 startups focused on Turkish case law research and contract analytics. HR Tech integrated 4 ventures developing automated interview analysis and conversational candidate screening.

- **Broader Industry Platforms:** Intelligent Platforms (3), HealthTech (2), RPA & AI Automation (2), alongside single entries across Computer Vision, Machine Learning, IoT, Autonomous Systems, and Generative Visual AI.

### Executive Commentary from Can Sinemli

**Can Sinemli, General Manager of TRAI**, stated:

> “Surpassing the 500 threshold on the TRAI Startup Map demonstrates the institutional momentum of Turkey's artificial intelligence ecosystem. Beyond pure volumetric expansion, we are witnessing architectural diversification and deeper domain-specific vertical specialization.
